Michelle Fregeau began her career in Chicago, Il. She attended Cameo academy school of Cosmetology. She has been in the industry for over 21 years, 9 of those years being a stylist and Salon Owner. Michelle doesn’t just “cut hair” she designs a look for each one of her clients. With all her years of experience behind her she has a great talent for formulating colors and styles that fit a clients lifestyle and who want a natural look. She is proud of how her Salon has grown the past 9 years and how she has made a “team based salon” work so well. “Being team based our entire staff can focus on clients and they love the fact that the entire salon cares about them and their well being in many ways.” When Michelle isn’t tending to her clients you will find her focusing on the business and management side of her salon. When she does have free time she enjoys spending it with her new Grandson Ryan James or traveling places where she can go scuba diving and relax.

Here at Designers we have our own graphic designer on staff. Jessica graduated from Brown College with a degree in Graphic Design. She started out at Designers working the Front Desk.  We saw that her creative talents were needed elsewhere in the salon and she soon became our Administrator and Graphic Designer. Jessica enjoys her job “At Designers we are all like friends not just co-workers. I think that really shows when you walk into our salon.” Her spare time is spent with her husband and their new baby boy Ryan. She also enjoys scrapbooking all the photos she takes of Ryan.

A Degree in Business is what Ashley is working towards. In the mean time she is helping our business at Designers. Working at the front desk for 3 years now Ashley is a friendly face all of our clients enjoy seeing. Attending Century College and working at Designers keeps her pretty busy. “I love seeing clients leave our salon knowing they look their best.” Ashley works hard to make sure your experience at Designers is an enjoyable one. When she is not at work or school she spends her free time with family and friends going to movies, shopping of going for walks.   

We at Designers feel lucky to have Terri Jo working for us.  Her talent is amazing and it is brought out every day.  She attended Aveda Institute and graduated in 2002.  She has been at Designers since the beginning.  She keeps herself up to date by attending many classes a year.  She worked along side the best in the industry at the 2008 Fashion Week in New York City.  She enjoys her career and is always up for a challenge.  “I know I have a great job, I work with wonderful people and I relate well with all my clients and consider them all friends.  Who wouldn’t want a job where you can spend time with great people all day?”  Terri also likes to tend to her garden in the summer and enjoys time with her family and friends.   

Caroline was a California girl before she came to Designers. Originally from Wyoming, MN she moved back home with her husband and son to be close to her family. Caroline joined the Designers Team 3 years ago. Her positive attitude and smile makes us all happy she is on our team. “I love making people’s day brighter and creating a maximum style that requires minimal effort.” She attended the Aveda Institute and has advanced make up training through Horst Salons in Minneapolis. She also helped those runway models look their best for Fashion Week 2008 in New York City. She is an avid snowboarder and loves to go fishing in the summer.

Lindsay has many clients that enjoy her free spirit and talent. She likes to make drastic changes in color and is open to client’s ideas. “Everything about my job I enjoy! I get to see my friends every day and make them look fabulous!” It is that kind of attitude that makes us happy to have Lindsay as one of our team. Regency Beauty Institute was Lindsay’s school of choice. She gradated in July of 2003. Her career at Designers started in 2005. Throughout the years she has attended workshops and training to keep up her skills and that shows in her day to day work. She brings her free spirit into her personal life where she enjoys singing, shopping and going to all the latest movies.

When Ashley is not working you will find her out shopping, especially at Thrift Stores or reading a good book. She was trained at Scot Lewis in St. Paul. She loves working in this industry because it is constantly changing. “I love to make people look great and make them feel pampered.” She has been part of the Designers Team for over a year.  Ashley loves to be creative with color and give people a great look that makes them smile. She is looking forward to being trained in spa services at Designers so you can soon book your facials with her also.

After graduating from Central Beauty School in Cambridge, Megan joined our team at Designers. Her motivation and hard work makes Megan a great addition to our team. “I love making people look good and feel relaxed. I also enjoy working together as a team with all of the other Designers.” Megan performs many services here: Colors, Cuts, Perms, Waxes, Manicures, and Pedicures are her favorites. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her Husband and Son, going shopping, and watching movies.

In 1995 Denise completed her 13 months of training at Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork. She has taken many classes since to keep herself up to date on the latest techniques including Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Massage, Sports massage, Aromatherapy and Herbal Therapy. Her strengths include deep tissue work, fibromyalgia work & herbal and aromatherapies. Being in the industry for 12 years she still enjoys helping people feel good and getting the results they are looking for though a good massage. “My goal is to help people live happier, more productive lives by giving them a stress relieving massage, deep tissue work or just to relax.” When Denise isn’t helping other people relax she likes to unwind painting murals, traveling with her husband and working outdoors.

After graduating College from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Alyse joined our team at Designers as one of our Massage Therapists. Some of her specialty areas are Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish Relaxation, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Basic Reflexology.  “I enjoy making people feel better through massage. I love to educate others about different kinds of massage, and what it can do for each individual person.” In her spare time, Alyse loves to ride horses, work out, and garden.

Making clients feel comfortable when they come into Designers is Tracy’s goal.  She was an interior Designer before she became a full time mom.  With her kids growing up she found a good fit in her job as receptionist at Designers.  “Most of our clients are my friends or they have become my friends, what job can top that?”  Matching the client’s needs and personality with the right stylist is something she strives for at the front desk.  With a 16 year old son and a 13 year old daughter she keeps pretty busy outside of work.  Spending time at her cabin with her family is on the top of her list of great things in life.

Having Jake at Designers is a great addition to our team. With his upbeat attitude and outgoing social skills, he makes clients feel right at home. Jake attends Chisago Lakes High School, and plans to graduate in 2009. After high school, his goal is to become a Foreign Language Interpreter, specializing in Spanish.  “I look forward to coming to work every day. My favorite part of my job is talking and getting to know the clients.” In his spare time, Jake looks forward to writing poetry and stories.
